On July 1st at 7 pm, Arianne Zwartjes and Aisha Sabatini Sloan will read at Casa Libre en la Solana for an end-of-tour reunion with the city they last called home.
Arianne Zwartjes is in northern New Mexico serving as the director of the wilderness program at the United World College. The University of Iowa Press published her essay collection, Detailing Trauma: A Poetic Anatomy in the fall of 2012.
Aisha Sabatini Sloan’s essays have appeared in Ninth Letter, Identity Theory, Michigan Quarterly Review, and The Southern Review. Her first book of essays, The Fluency of Light: Coming of Age in a Theater of Black and White was published by the University of Iowa Press in 2013.
